Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome To Edinburgh
On arrival at Edinburgh airport, you will be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. Then, the rest of the day you can use to either relax and get settled into your hotel, or hit the ground running!

- Discover the Georgian period New Town, the Old Town and the Royal Mile on your Hop-On, Hop-Off tour. J
- ourney through the cobbled streets and courtyards and try and find Bakehouse Close where Jamie and Claire are reunited in season 3.
- Your trip includes entrance fees to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Yacht Britannia. At Holyrood Palace, you can delve into Jacobite history to learn about the historical context of the books.

Day 2: Full day in Edinburgh
Ready to jump into some history? Start the day by checking out the National Museum of Scotland to see some Jacobite artifacts, or peruse the shops of the Royal Mile, where you can shop for a Fraser tartan or make your own custom tweed bag.
In the afternoon, learn about whiskey at the Johnnie Walker Experience on Princes Street. Explore the secrets behind the country’s most popular whiskey across eight dramatic floors – this is whiskey like you’ve never experienced it before!

Day 3: Journey To The Firth Of Forth
Today you’ll pick up your car rental and embark on your journey north to explore the Firth of Forth.
Before crossing the Firth, stop to take a photo of the impressive Blackness Castle, which you may know as Captain Jack Randall’s Headquarters. Then, continue to the village of Culross, known to fans as Cranesmuir. You may also spot Claire’s herb garden and Gellis Duncans’ house while strolling around this picturesque village. At your leisure, continue to Pitlochry in the heart of Cairngorms National Park.
On the way, take a quick stop at Falkland, a quaint little town that served as the filming location for 1940s Inverness.


Day 4: Journey To Inverness
Climb aboard your 4×4 with your Local Specialist & Safari Ranger and get close to nature in the heart of the Highlands. Watch out for the majestic red deer, the famous grouse and the soaring golden eagle as you travel through forests, mountains and moors on private hill tracks.
Once finished, you’ll continue through the Cairngorms National Park to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Explore the Old Town of Inverness, which features notable landmarks including the Old High Church, an indoor Victorian Market and the 19th century Inverness Cathedral.


Day 5: Standing Stones & Battlefields
Discover the magic of Clava Cairns, the inspiration for Craigh na Dun, the standing stones through which Claire was transported back in time. Then on to Culloden Battlefield to see where the Scottish clans fought their final battle for the Jacobite cause in 1745.
Recommended acivities:
- Uncover your own history as you meet with a local genealogist. Discover the history of your clan names and find out personal connections dating back to the 17th century.
- Visit Beauly Priory to try and find the graves of three members of Clan Fraser.


Day 6: The Isle Of Skye
Leave your car behind today, as you sit back, relax and take in the dramatic Highland scenery on the way to Eilean Donan Castle. Then, travel over the sea to Skye like Bonnie Prince Charlie did after Culloden and travel through the stunning Red Cuillin Mountains.

Day 7: Loch Ness, Glencoe, & On To Loch Lomond
Bid farewell to Inverness as you drive along the shores of Loch Ness, keeping an eye out for its famous monster. Drive through the dramatic mountainous scenery of Glencoe, which can be seen in the opening credits of Outlander.
Plan for a stop at Glenfinnan Monument, regarded as the starting point of the Jacobite rebellion. Continue to Loch Lomond for a cruise on this spectacular lake.

Day 8: Journey To Glasgow
Continue your drive south to Dunure, which doubled as both the harbor where Jamie and Claire depart from to sail to the New World and as Wilmington where Brianna and Roger are reunited.
Recommended activities:
- Explore Pollock Country Park, whose beautiful parklands were featured often in the first two seasons of Outlander.
- Later that evening, explore the best of Glasgow’s food scene on your walking food tour of the city. You will get the chance to taste locally-sourced food and beverages and see why so many people love to visit this immersive city.

Day 9: Full Day in Glasgow
Recommended activities:
- Experience the city of Glasgow on a Hop-On Hop-Off tour. See sights such as St Mungo’s Cathedral, used as L’Hôpital des Anges in Paris where Claire volunteers, and Glasgow University, used as Harvard in the series.
- Make a stop off at Argyle Street, Glasgow’s hotspot for shoppers, to pick up some souvenirs of your Scottish adventure.

Depart Glasgow
This morning you will be picked up by your private driver and transferred to Glasgow airport for your departure flight.
